The construction work of "Malatya Yoncalı Irrigation", which was tendered by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), was undertaken by Seza Construction with a price of 3.283.123.000 TL. The contract for this important project was signed and officially started.
The project aims to irrigate a total of 17,475 hectares of agricultural land in Arguvan district of Malatya province and its neighbouring villages. Within the scope of irrigation infrastructure, it is planned to supply and lay 109,838 metres of GRP pipes, 9,968 metres of steel pipes, 445,785 metres of PE 100 pipes and special parts. In addition, the construction of 5443 art structures and the operation, maintenance and repair of the entire system for 36 months are also part of the project. With this pressurised pipe irrigation network, it is aimed to increase agricultural productivity in the region and to use water resources more efficiently.

Malatya Yoncalı Irrigation Project will play an important role in the irrigation of agricultural lands in the region. With the irrigation of agricultural lands in Arguvan and neighbouring villages, a great contribution will be made to the farmers of the region and a significant increase in agricultural production is targeted. This project will also revitalise the local economy and provide long-term benefits to the agricultural sector in the region.
